ZiPhone 2.2

Please accept my apologies.

A stupid bug in 2.1 didn't allow my "Z" icon to be deleted

and caused some minor problems.

A stupid typo.

In the download frame you now have ZiPhone 2.2.

Nothing changed. Bug removed.

And now some rest.. then back for new features shortly

in the next days..

Note:

ZiPhone never bricked a phone so far.

IPSF or 'freeipsf' users can't upgrade to 4.03.. because isf method corrupts

the baseband (and apple checked that in 4.03).

You can still use ziphone -u option.

Yesterday I was very tired and just put the wrong windows exe in the archive.

ZiPhone 2.1 is here to serve...

Here we are with ZiPhone 2.1.

Corrected the "apple logo bug".

Removed -v option (now it's always booting in verbose mode)

Added integrity check on zibri.dat.

Added 2 .BAT files for windows newbies :)

Updated README.txt

OSX versions updated.

ZiPhone 2.0 !!! (game over!)

ZiPhone v2.0 is finally OUT.

In the command line version, you will find a new

option "-b" be very careful with that!

I take no responsability if you brick your phone!

ZiPhone -b will downgrade bootloader from 4.6 to 3.9,

flash 4.03.13_G baseband version and

unlock it (in one shot!).

It worked for me on 2 ootb 1.1.2 phones.

It will work on 1.1.3 ootb phones too.

Other options are unchanged.

Do not forget to donate!

The future of ZiPhone will depend on you also !

I think we won't need another version till the next firmware release :)

Important:

For people who get stuck on apple logo.

Try to use: ZiPhone -v -b

That solved the problem for many people.

ZiPhone 1.2 is OUT !!!

New feature:

It now unlocks both 4.6 and 3.9 BL.
And it's autosensing.. just use -u !

You can now delete any version of anySIM :)

Bugs?!

Well i did this test:

1) entered DFU (black screen) mode.
2) fully restored to 1.1.3.
3) shutdown the phone and reboot.
4) run: ziphone -a -j -u from command line (latest archive)

The phone rebooted after 2 minutes.
Everything is ok.
Youtube works.

Then:
1) open installer.
2) update community sources.
3) goto System category and install BSD Subsystem.
4) in System category install openssh as well.

My pc is running windows XP sp2 with all patches.
Itunes 7.5 (completely uninstall itunes 7.6 http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=93698 ) then install 7.5 (i think 7.4.3 will work too)

And of course the latest archive of ziphone.
Unzip it in a directory.
Then
1) open command prompt
2) cd to that directory
3) ziphone -a -j -u

Do not close itunes after restore.
Do not touch it's window.
Just wait 2 minutes.

Note:
When a new version of ZiPhone comes out,
delete the old version (the whole directory)
And use the new archive.
ZiPhone and zibri.dat must be of the same archive.
