All good things...

Place your bid!
It was an incredible ride, guys, and I'm sincerely grateful
to everybody who made this happen.
As some of you may know, from the 7th of November 2008 I'm a father.
All my efforts are now focused on my family then, later, I'll start some other project
maybe related with the iPhone, maybe not.
So, from now the ziphone.org domain (Pagerank 5 on Google) is FOR SALE.
Here's how the sale works:
Go to the donation page, donate $50 and write your buy offer in the
donation description free text field.
At the end of the sale the highest bid will get the domain.
Direct emails will not count as bids.
If by the end of the sale the maximum bid will not meet my minumum requirement,
all $50 donations will be refunded and the sale won't happen.
Sale result and winning bidder will appear on this site.
The sale will end on 20th January 2009.
If the winner won't pay the bid by the 10th of February 2009,
the 2nd higher bidder will be the winner.
Namaste,
Zibri
Hint:
There is a banner on the right side of this site.
That banner links to a site which evaluate other sites.
Bids lower than 1/3 of the "Net Worth" will be rejected.
The daily ads revenue on that site is pretty accurate.
And so is the daily pageview (average in the last months).
Happy bidding.

  1. "Zibri has left the web" jaja, we must understand your focus Zibri, I have a 16 month's daughter and she take's all my attention, so it's all good, sad for some of us that don't like the "dev-team", and where hoping that Ziphone would be released soon, but when you put things in the right perspective and priorities in place, that's the right thing to do, so Zibri, enjoy every moment, from the bottom of my heart.

    Peace

Nope. I haven't "left the web".
    http://www.zibri.org will stay and improve.
ziphone site will stay on the web on blogspot where it's hosted.

    I'm just selling the domain.
It's a high valued domain now.
It's pagerank 6 and can attract many visitor to anybody clever enough to invest in the right thing.

  3. are you planning on releasing the unfinished work that you already were doing or will that be up to whomever buys the domain?

  4. hehe, I know Zibri, just a joke, my point is, I'm very happy for you as you are a father, that's all, somehow, been a father makes everything else sims not as important but to take care of your family, and even I don't know you personally, I feel happy to see that moral values are still around, so, I'm happy for you Zibri, and hope that your kid turns out to be a great person.

  7. Zibri I wish you the best of luck with your family and your future ziphone, and iphone projects. Would've been great to rub a 2.0 unlock and jailbreak in the "dev team"'s face but somethings are just more important than rivalries. Again best of luck man.

    why not... nice idea..
    but it's not unfinished.
    it's just unreleased :)
It's not safe to release such a thing believe me (copyright issues).

    @everyone:
I don't have the NEED to sell the domain.
This is just to check if there is interest.
If not I'll gladly keep it.
For historical reasons at least :D

But I am sure a "few people" would know how to take this chance.

    The blog will stay.

  11. the first two years are the most important in a babies development. I applaud your choice to invest as much time as possible with your new son. I also haven taken time off to give my daughter the best start possible.

I hope all goes well, and that you find many happy days ahead.

One question: What all is contained in/with the domain ?
Mainly I hope you aren't selling (giving away a potentially huge revanue generator ) with the domain. Namely the ZiPhone software.

    All the best!

Thank you Zibri for Ziphone. Without it I would never have bought an iPhone.

God bless you and your new family, it's hard work now, but in a year or two you will find that children are much more rewarding than computers! :-)

  13. Selling the domain will not mean, that you leave the Jailbreak-community, doesn´t it ?

I have always enjoyed the quickness and comfort of ZiPhone and have lokked forward to a version for 2.x every day on your blog.

I hope you will go on with ZiPhone !!!!

  14. So what happens if someone stole your laptop and found your finished work for an updated unlocker on it and they decided to release it to the world annonomously? Certainly that wouldn't be your fault and you would not be in violation of any copyrights :)

  15. So I guess, this is it. You won't release anything else, because Apple threatened you with legal action, is that right?
    So long,
    Take care of you family.

  16. @Stefokebec:

    Totally wrong.
I've never been threatened by Apple.
And I got no money from them.
They didn't even say thanks for finding the video bug.
I'm just really busy with my family.
And totally unmotivated about the iphone as of now.
I don't know about the future though..

  17. That´s weak from apple.
But ok they will earn more money with unlocked iPhones.

You say you´re unmotivated to go on. I can understand this. There´s no need for ZiPhone any more with QuickPwn. OK it´s not as comfortable and easy as ZiPhone but it´s agreat progress compared with WinPwn. I thank you that you gave me the possibility to jailbreak my iPod on 1.1.3 and 1.1.4. Now get your money and care for your family.
    I wish you much look.
